There was no surprise when 7th rankedSanta Tecla 2 (2-7) was crushed on the road by third ranked Salvadorenas 2 (5-4) 69-46 . Salvadorenas 2 forced 27 Santa Tecla 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 57-29 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Costa Rican point guard Gabriela Alvarado (177-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. Center Silvia Vega (176-2003) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Cuban guard Elianis Armenteros (175-2000) replied with 21 points and forward Camila Lima (172-2003) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Santa Tecla 2. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Salvadorenas 2 maintains third position with 5-4 record having four points less than leader San Salvador. Santa Tecla 2 lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with seven games lost. They share the position with PSN.
